Myofascial release and Spandana yoga therapy

I invite you for a 45 minutes free workshop on Zoom.

Myofascia release is a type of physical therapy focuses on reducing pain by easing the tension and tightness in the trigger points. Myofascial release benefits:

-improve your range of motion

- release tensions,knots and stress

-reduce soreness and help assist the tissue recovery process

-improve circulation

-help the body relax overall

We will use 2 tennis balls, 1 or 2 yoga blocks, and a yoga mat.

The focus is on relaxing the muscles and creating gentle traction to the connective tissue (ligaments and fascia).

What is fascia? A fascia is a layer of fibrous tissue. Fascia is a specialized system of the body that has an appearance similar to a spider's web or a sweater. A fascia is a structure of connective tissue that surrounds muscles, groups of muscles, blood vessels, and nerves, binding some structures together while permitting others to slide smoothly over each other.

Releasing fascial adhesions is like clearing out the cobwebs between the muscles, allowing them to slide and glide more efficiently, which increases hydration and the elimination of toxins. Freeing up the muscles in this way allows them to begin to function independently, contracting and releasing to their fullest potential.

What is Spandana?

Spandana is a yoga therapy technique that uses rocking movements to free up bound tissue and create a deep sense of relaxation.

Benefits: addresses areas that hold tension, such as the hip, shoulders, back, and neck.
