Hi there, I am Andrea. I help people suffering from back pain and other chronic muscle aches to feel good.

As a former two-time Olympic gymnast, I understand the struggles one may feel with various bodily pains. The sport of gymnastics can be quite hard on the body and throughout my professional years, I had my fair share of injuries. One of the worst was a near career-ending accident on the floor exercise at the 1994 World Championships, the biggest stage for a gymnast outside of the Olympics.

Expectations to medal were high as just the year before I had taken gold at the Europeans on the floor. Unfortunately, I landed badly out of a triple twist completely tearing my ACL. Thousands of hours of training are gone in a heartbeat. I was devastated. Many people said my competitive career was through but I had different ideas. This was not the first painful experience I had had to overcome in my life.

Five months before the 1992 Olympic games I started having very painful back issues making it almost impossible to train. I started working with a doctor who introduced me to some excellent stretching exercises as well as chiropractic adjustments.

I began doing the exercises  3 times a day and receiving massage twice a week. This recipe drastically improved my back so that I was able to train 6-7 hours daily two months before the Olympics.

With the guidance of these healers and my own dedication and determination, I was able to overcome both these injuries and compete in 2 Olympic games.

Unfortunately, yoga wasn't popular in Hungary yet. I wish I knew then what I do now about the beneficial effects yoga and breathwork can have on pain management as I am sure it would have sped up my recovery and or prevented certain injuries from occurring in the first place.

I have been a gymnastics coach and a choreographer for over 25 years which can also take a toll physically on the body. Repetitive spotting and holding of the gymnasts combined with dancing and demonstrating skills can quickly lead to various aches and pains.

When I was suffering from back and hip pain, I searched for a yoga class or a teacher that could help me with my specific issues. Unfortunately, after trying several different classes, I found that they just weren’t giving me the relief I so desperately needed.

I think it can be challenging to find someone that can cater to your specific needs. Someone who understands what you are going through and is sympathetic and patient enough to work with you based on your level of physical fitness.

That is why I came up with my signature offer, combining my personal experience as a professional athlete with my studies in yoga and massage therapy to offer a lasting solution for individual problems. In my experience, there is no quick fix for most bodily pains. I design long-term programs that target your issues and get to know you on a more personal level so we can manage your case together at a pace that is right for you and your schedule.

I am based in Oslo,Norway.
