My yoga story continious

I received many questions after my yoga story, so I decided to tell you more about what happened and what I am doing nowadays.

I mentioned that I was unjustly fired from my coaching job over unfounded accusations that, turns out, were probably politically motivated. The last thing I ever dreamed of when moving to Norway was a court case, but there was no way I was going to lay down and surrender under these unjust circumstances. Thanks to the overwhelming support of the parents, and my caring lawyer, the case was settled out of court in my favor. That experience took a lot out of me emotionally, and I am not one to jump into legal battles for personal gain, but fair is fair.

After finishing yoga teacher training, I started focusing on my new career direction by creating Andrea Molnar Yoga. I started teaching yoga twice a week in a small studio in Rosenborgate (Majorstuen). I was fortunate to gain some great clients who came to my classes every week; some were my former gymnast’s mothers and some new yogis.  I have students from all over the world, and it is so fun to belong to a wonderful international community. Being exposed to different cultures and opinions makes us stronger human beings in general and helps us broaden our horizons.

My passion is to motivate and support people so that they can lead a balanced, pain and stress-free lifestyle. During the covid lockdowns, I used my time to dive into studying more yoga and yoga therapy. I also started utilizing some self-care techniques I learned while attending massage school. It was nice to have enough time for my practice, and I remembered how vital self-care is. First, I started experimenting with different techniques for my husband and me to alleviate some of the pain we were feeling from the online gymnastics training we were running. We were fascinated by how much spandana and myofascial release relieved our tight muscles. I began designing yoga sessions differently and implemented new methods to assist my clients better. I held several workshops on Zoom, and people were pleased with the results. My blend of different yoga types, yoga therapy, self-care, and massage techniques, is a unique and beneficial experience. I received such feedback as, "my body feels like butter, and my mind finally can rest." Helping people to feel better means so much to me.

Many of you don't know I am also a massage therapist. I graduated from a school in California about 15 years ago. I mention it because yoga and massage can be very beneficial together. While in massage school, I learned different self-care methods that I use on myself, which I have started sharing with my clients.

These sessions are more than just customized training. I make sure it will be enjoyable, not something you have to do but something you want to do as we work in ways that feel good to your body.

Many people fear that moving and exercising will worsen their pain. Unfortunately, this misconception will only lead to more of the same. Often lack of mobility combined with repetitive poor daily posturing is the root of the problem. We will work through this pain and fear together, moving gently to ease tense muscles, eventually strengthening supporting muscles that will help reduce pain.

If you have anxiety, stress, or feel depressed, we will focus on a relaxing meditative practice, reducing tension in your body to help you feel calm and grounded. Keep in mind that feeling better and achieving your goals takes time. I don't offer hourly options because you won't achieve long-term results.

I offer a home visit if you live in the Oslo area; we can meet at the studio or online.

I offer a free 45 minutes phone/online consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other and make sure I can help you. I will ask you questions about your pain, problems, and needs. If I can't help you, I will let you know at the consultation's end.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
